Today His
Excellency President Baron Waqa has formally announced his cabinet line-up at
the second sitting of the 21st parliament.
President Waqa holds the portfolio of Chairman of Cabinet, Minister for the
Public Service, Minister for Foreign Affairs & Trade, Minister for Climate Change
and Minister for Police & Emergency Services.
The Hon David Adeang is Minister Assisting the President, Minister for Finance
& Sustainable Development, Minister for Justice, Minister for Eigigu Holdings
Corporation and Minister for Nauru Air Corporation.
The Hon Valdon Dowiyogo is the Minister for Health, Minister for Transport, and
Minister for Sport and Fisheries. Newly elected MP the Hon. Aaron Cook is the Minister
for Commerce, Industry and Environment, Minister for Ronphos and Minister for Nauru
Rehabilitation Corporation.
Alongside Mr. Cook another newly elected MP Mrs. Charmaine Scotty the only second
woman to enter Nauru Parliament is the Minister for Home Affairs, Minister for Education
and Youth, and Minister for Land Management.
The Hon Shadlog Bernicke is the Minister for Nauru Phosphate Royalties Trust,
Minister for Telecommunications, and Minister for Nauru Utilities Corporation.
